Perma 08 is a unique sculptural piece that references an archetypal functional form. Sourced from the excess accumulated by florists, the discarded flowers are given a new life cycle by becoming a permanent part of the material. Bound by resin and then machined lengthwise, the surface reveals a new world of natural adornment, wherein petals, stems, and buds unveil the anatomical arrangement, reminiscing veins and fossils found in natural stone. Each time, a hand-drawn sketch is elevated into a structural assemblage of planes that highlight ubiquitous ornamentation adorned by nature itself.
