The Protoplasting Nature collection grew out of a reflection on traditional floral ornamentation. Using botanic matter as the main structure rather than the applied decoration of the piece, we have come up with a collection of unique pieces that study the relationship between nature, humans, and artisanship. Specially prepared, large exotic leaves cling tightly to the handmade steel skeleton, forming a botanical, ornamental skin. Metallised in polished zinc, the organic-shaped wallhanging piece embraces three convex, reflective surfaces that combine the abstract and sculptural with the functional.
