Vas Florum: 08 (Post Industriales)

The Vas Florum series reinterprets the concept of the vessel and its relationship with flowers and their display. In each artwork, specially sourced flowers are embedded in the body of the form itself. Conceived as ‘time capsules’, each sculpture contains botanicals that resonate with individual and collective memories. In Post Industriales, the flowers are trapped within two distinct processes developed by the studio in an attempt to preserve the ephemerality of flowers. The dark grey silhouettes of flowers, cast in soft, pastel-hued resin, are metallised in an unpolished, matte layer of zinc used in the Tephra series.
