Vas Florum: 21 (Hortus Exoticus)

The Vas Florum series reinterprets the concept of the vessel and its relationship with flowers and their display. In each artwork, specially sourced flowers are embedded in the body of the form itself. Conceived as ‘time capsules’, each sculpture contains botanicals that resonate with individual and collective memories. In Hortus Exoticus, popular exotic plants such as orchids, palm leaves, amaranths, rhododendrons, and pineapple flowers highlight the contemporary contexts of flower breeding, revealing the highly artificial circumstances of their cultivation.
