Tephra Credenza 197
Buried under a layer of a matte, greyish substance, the strangely familiar botanic shapes can be discerned in the metallised modules of the Tephra Credenza 197. Born on a light aluminium structure, the monochrome bas-reliefs were made using a custom-developed Tephra technique in which real flowers, mounted on spatial forms made with steel and jute, are cocooned by streams of liquified zinc and left unpolished for a mysterious, otherworldly effect, as if covered by volcanic dust.
